Rules, Guidelines and Instructions for Proceedings
As announced, we plan to publish the papers in Archaeopress: Publishers of Academic Archaeology (http://www.archaeopress.com). The objective is to publish a high quality scientific book that reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the conference and records recent advances in the area of ancient Greek history (comprising law, politics and epigraphy).
In order to do so, there are important rules that authors should follow when finalizing their articles and proceedings for publication. This set of rules ensure that we have the necessary copyrights and that articles and proceedings maintain an internal consistency. Observing these rules will greatly facilitate the interaction between the conference proceeding editors and its publishers, Archaeopress. Please read the attached document and check carefully the indications given below:
Please send the manuscripts as soon as possible, but no later than the end of February 2021, to: [email protected]
- Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.
- Manuscripts must be written in English for international publication standards.
- We accept most word processing formats, but Word is preferred. Always keep a backup copy of the electronic file for reference and safety. No changes to the accepted version are permissible without the explicit approval of the Editor.
- It is important that the file be saved in the native format of the word processor used. The text should be in single-column format. Keep the layout of the text as simple as possible.
- Please include the acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references and do not, therefore, include them on the title page, as a footnote to the title or otherwise. List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
- Length: maximum of 12 pages of text without illustrations. Double-space, in 12-point type, and standard formatting. The text will be delivered in digital form, Microsoft Word format.
- Illustrations: maximum of 12 illustrations admitted, per paper; including plans, drawings, photographs or any other graphic material.
Please send the manuscripts as soon as possible, but no later than the end of February 2021, to: [email protected]
